Christine Evadney Marzouca is an avid advocate for the preservation and promotion of Jamaican heritage at home and abroad and healthcare professional who has served her community in various roles. 

After graduating from Montego Bay Community College, Christine attended LaGuardia College in New York where she studied the ins and outs of the healthcare industry. She worked as a Community Patient Navigator with the Komen-funded project, addressing Triple Negative Breast Cancer in African American and Caribbean communities through education, navigation, and screening at the Grady Health System. She was listed as a contributor for the abstract that was submitted to the American Public Health Association. 

Additionally, she has worked in the pharmaceutical industry, served as manager for the DeKalb Election System since 2008, stood on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic as a COVID-19 Tester, worked as a Disease Intervention Specialist, and then a Communicable Disease Specialist for the Fulton County Board of Health. As a healthcare professional who has served her community in various roles, she is enthusiastic about making a positive impact. 

Her strong passion for the humanities is the driving force behind her volunteerism. She has been an active member of the Atlanta Jamaican Association (AJA) since May 2011 and has served on the Board as Parliamentarian for over 5 years. She also served as the Chair of the Family Relations Committee through which she successfully managed all facets of the Annual Family Day event. Additionally, Christine has volunteered for several years as a medical assistant in the DeKalb County School System and with organizations such as Hosea Feed the Hungry.

Christine serves as the Vice President of Jamaican Museum and Cultural Center and is committed to showcasing the cultural achievements of Jamaica’s diaspora.
