EDUCATION

Our team is committed to collaborating with academic institutions, media networks, and businesses to deliver impactful programs that enhance knowledge, skills, and understanding of Jamaican history and culture. Our work is guided by a vision to promote Jamaica on the global stage while simultaneously fostering cross-cultural engagement.

Learning about Bananas with Georgia’s Students

Our pilot program re-introduces high school students to a familiar fruit: the banana. Through our one-hour experience, students learn about the history and growth of the banana as a historical and modern catalyst of change.

RESEARCH

We are passionate about research, viewing it as an essential element of our work that fuels innovation and scholarship. We are proud to collaborate with academic institutions, organizations and scholars of all levels to develop groundbreaking research topics that push the boundaries of our understanding of Jamaican history and culture.

EXHBITONS& COLLECTIONS

We organise exhibitions with partners, commission new work and presentations. We are designing a series exhibitions in preparation for the opening of our new venue. Currently, our exhibitions are held at alternative venues and locations under the JMCC brand. In the meantime, explore our Online Museum, an interactive virtual archive of Jamaican history and culture. We are constantly seeking to acquire documents, photographs, artworks, objects and products for our archive.
