Director of Strategic Planning/Analyst
Dr. Foster is a double board-certified doctor, author, and philanthropist who is passionate about ensuring that underserved communities have access to medical care and education.
After obtaining his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of the West Indies, Dr. Foster went on to obtain his Master’s degree in Chemistry from the City University of New York, and his M.D. from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his medical training at various institutions, including Albert Einstein Hospital, New York University Medical Center, and Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He completed training in acupuncture at the American College of Acupuncture, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Shanghai Medicine University.
Dr. Foster worked as an Attending Physician and Clinical Instructor at Emory University Hospitals, Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital, and Center for Rehab Medicine. He is a former Medical Director for The Rehabilitation Center at Southern Regional Health System, Riverdale, GA, where he served for ten years. He is currently the Medical Director for the Center for Pain and Rehab Medicine in Stockbridge, GA, where his primary focus is Interventional Pain and Addiction Medicine.
In addition to being Board Certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and in Pain Medicine, he has authored and co-authored several scientific articles. His books, “Foster’s Opioid Addiction Classification Status Guide,” and, “The Opioid Epidemic Consumers & HealthCare Guide,” speak to his passion for medical education. He also previously hosted a radio show, “The Doctor Show,” and is a public speaker.
Dr. Foster previously served as President of the Morant Bay High School Alumni Association’s Atlanta Chapter, and currently serves as the Chairman and CEO of the D. Terrence Foster Foundation Inc. His charitable organization focuses on the development, enhancement, and promotion of healthcare and education globally, emphasizing the underserved.
As Director of Strategic Planning/Analyst, his experience in health and education are crucial in the strategic planning of JMCC’s vision of educating future generations about Jamaican heritage and culture.
