Dr. Karla Hylton is an award-winning author, distinguished educator, keynote speaker and passionate mental health advocate. With a PhD in Biotechnology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and certification in Mental Health Studies, she brings a unique blend of knowledge to her endeavors.

As the founder of Your Empowerment Solutions (YES) Institute, specializing in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry tutoring, Dr. Hylton’s dedication to education is widely recognized. Her insightful contributions to the Jamaica Observer’s Career & Education section further underscore her authority in the field. She is a former Chairman for the Friends of the Bustamante Hospital for Children in Jamaica.

Dr. Hylton’s literary pursuits extend to engaging children’s books and diverse genres, including her autobiographical work, “The Unvarnished Truth: Purpose in the Pain,” and its companion workbook, “Vanquishing Monsters,” offering valuable resources for mental health journeys. In her leisure time, she enjoys interior design, reading, and movies.
