Val Marks is a graduate of Long Island University and City University of NY, York College, where she obtained a degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She has since established herself as a Spine and Orthopedic PA with over 15 years of Safety Consultant experience in Safety & Compliance, Occupational Injury, and Hearing Conservation. Additionally, she has 7 years of experience as Vice President of Transportation & Logistics. 

Val is an avid traveler with a passion for bridging medicine and aviation, and supporting the fight against homelessness. She enjoys most genres of music while drawing and painting the human body.

As Secretary, Val is enthusiastic about JMCC’s success as a cultural hub for the Jamaican diaspora of Atlanta and beyond.
